Rose Umney - 18th March 1937 to 19th October 2009
It is with great sadness that we have to announce the passing of a very much loved Dons supporter, Rose Umney.
Rose passed away peacfully at 1.30pm this afternoon after a battle against a lung tumor.
Many supporters will remember her sat on the entrance turnstiles at Plough Lane. Rose along with her husband Sid, who was timekeeper at Plough Lane, both made the journey down to watch the Dons every week from their home in Stevenage for many many years.
Rose touched many people’s hearts and will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure to meet her.
Our thoughts are with Sid, her daughter Kim, who helped run the Supporters club, granddaughter Katie, who were all regular supporters on the terraces and Rose’s other children and grandchildren.
